Again, let me start by saying that I really appreciate all the comments and ideas that you guys have been posting for the previous releases.
This release has some of the features that have been requested in the past months, however, there are a few more that are yet to come.
Included for this release:
Changes from 1.3
Yet to come.... pdf direct export (I really want to use an entirely php method), image ePortfolio and some of the other cool features that you have been posting.
IMPORTANT NOTE FOR UPGRADING FROM PREVIOUS VERSION (<1.3):
Some minor changes where made into Work and Academic objects actions in order to implement searching on those objects. Although the new version will work just fine if you overwrite previous version, only the objects created on the new version will be "searchable".
In order to correct this issue, a tiny upgrade script has been included to transform old objects into searchable objects. To invoke this script, login as administrator in elgg and call the URL /mod/resume/upgrade.php. For example, if your elgg instance is located at http://myelgg.com, invoke the URL http://myelgg.com/mod/resume/upgrade.php. And thats it!
Hope you enjoy, and as always, I'm open for any comments.

@opensource Hi, to add new fields you just need to modify the form views and the respective save/modify actions.
Regards!
Gread. Reading your source code right now.
Thanks for sharing this!

First of all thanks for nice features and layout, I found one bug in it it is not showing the owners last wire post on print friendly version . it is showing site members last post instead of owner. please fix it.
Thanks
Do one thing more compress all fields by default and if a person is logged in then he is able to click on plus sign to expand other wise force him to sign up
Provide a link at the end "View full Resume" and if person is logged out then force him to login
Thanks
Hi Pablo,
Great work! Is there anyway of allowing users the option of having/ not having the eportfolio or choosing privacy levels?
Best regards,
Hi guys, sorry for late reply and thanks for your comments.
I'll do whatever I can to solve the issues that you exposed and to add the features that you have requested, however, for now it depends mostly on our clients needs. (For example, the locked public resume information).
Anyway, I'll propose the things that you have mentioned, wich, by the way, make perfect sense.
Thanks and regards.
hi pablo.. this were great plugin which helping me lots. i would lik to ask you one question. how can we add new field when clicking a + button in a form. hw can i save this.
for example if i was asking for a degree there is under graduation, post graduation. in this i want to give more than 1 field for under graduation as the user may need it. i would lik to provide this in + button. ie if they need another field more than one for under graduate they can click this + button to get another field. how can i do this?
this does not work with 1.8 :(
@toss4run: 1.8 has not been released yet so very few of the plugins will work with it.
Hi Pablo,
inspiring work :)
as promised, here is a new version, originally based on your plugin. It has slightly changed and evolved in the process : i firstly thought i would only downgrade to Elgg 1.6.1 but we changed almost everything in the process to fit existing (european) referentials and data models...
You might find some part useful for further integrations.. even if only the french translation for the language file !-)

I'm using 1.8b1 and when installed an error popped up saying 1.7 deprecated in a particular function. extend_view. Is it correctable or will I be chasing variables if I try to fix this?
Found it, and fixed it.
hola esxelente plugin pero podrias ayudarme a poner niveles de privacidad en el portafolio ya que no todos los usuarios quieren que este visible su curriculum para todo el mundo
Hi guys, I'm sorry for the late reply for your comments. Thank you all for your interest in this plugin. For now, there are no inminent plans for further development on this plugin however there are some new and exciting projects on the community that are based on this project .
I'll take into account all your comments for future releases, wich by the way, are intended to be developed for Elgg 1.8
Regards!
Great plugin. would love to see it working in 1.8.
Cant wait for it be developed for 1.8!! :) nice plugin!
can i use this for elgg1.8..
IF not can u plz make a one like tat.
Thanks in advance
Hi Pablo, I have forked Facyla's fork of your plugin, and updated it for Elgg 1.8.
While a direct upgrade from your plugin users is not posible (due to the changes made to the fields) I think it would be easy for you (or other developer) to copy the changes and update your plugin to 1.8.
Saludos!
Nice one....
I used the plugin and working very nicely.....
