strangely, this works on my local test site.. but not my production site..

i replaced the tinymce plugin completely (even deleted the old one) and ran the upgrade.php file on the production site.. yet the extra buttons are not present.

any idea why?

Great plugin! Thanks a lot. One question, what can you do to allow the option of inserting symbols and or equations as in microsoft office? Would appreciate any form of help regarding this. Thanks

As far as I know the underlying TinyMCE editor doesn't support inserting equations unfortunately. But with the upcoming Elgg 1.8 you can use the already released MathJax plugin:

It won't work in Elgg 1.7 and I don't know how to backport it (only a few lines but quite powerful code!). This plugin allows Tex/Latex style inut of math equations and renders them. Looks great!
