Thanks for your answer but I dont have these two options. What can be wrong ?
Perhaps you are not running the latest version from github?

OK. Thanks but this one is said for elgg 1.8. I'm using 1.7.15 on the live site. Will it work ?
rvk,
No. I'm not doing any further work on 1.7 plugins.
OK I see. I will check the new version's code then and will try to transfer these new settings in the old one if possible. Thanks again.
it doesnt work on 1.8,8 latest version from github
Tawhid, as you can see in the title of the plugin, it is for Elgg 1.7.
You can try out:

Hello Kevin,
I have downloaded and installed the github version on my elgg 1.8.3 and it works fine. However, I would like to be able to have the capability to close a poll. I do not mind modifying the code but I would really just like to give it back to you since you are the owner. Do you want me to send the updated code to you once I am done?
Is there any way to hide the results for user so only admins can see results?
I've installed latest from github into 1.8.8. Works great.
But I'm trying to see it on default home page. I've used the following in my theme but I don't see anything. Or can you recommend a theme that does have the support that I can look at?
Here's my code:
$mod_params = array('class' => 'elgg-module-highlight');
// polls
if (elgg_is_active_plugin('polls')) {
echo elgg_view_module('featured', elgg_echo("custom:polls"), $vars['polls'], $mod_params);
}
To embed a featured poll using the 1.8 version in github, try something like:
Great Plugin - But I have a question: How is it possible to let users add answers to the poll? I added the add form from the edit page but how can I submit these new answers? I hope you understand my question :)
Thanks
I notice the updated plugin is available on github, but not on elgg. Are plugins shifting to a new distribution system? It would be nice to see newer versions available here. I was having a problem with comments on polls at my site (http://community.elgg.org/discussion/view/1137690/broken-link-in-the-activity-river-listing-when-someone-comments-on-a-poll) and found that the github plugin solved it, but I had no idea it was available
