I recommend that you dont use this on a production site
It has not been tested on a live working site. Let me know your feedback and I would like to know if affects site speed at all.
I have made the messageboard compatible, if you wish to make a plugin or your own compatible then use the following code
new_notification(1,$user->getGUID(), $_SESSION['user']->getGUID(), sprintf("has written on your message board <a href=\"$url/pg/messageboard/$username->username\">click here to see it</a>"));
in your action script. Its really simple to do but if you need help then send me a message.
For the next release I will be adding more plugins.
Let me know about speed etc and outline any bugs you come accross.

I'm not sure you understand. Where does the link go to? eg. http://mydomain.com/pg/
It gives a php error on line 21
@Mark Harding
pg/messageboard
@Mark
My elgg version is 1.7.1 and i dont know which message board i use.
Can you send me a link to it
@Adhish - go to your site, Administration/Tools
Find messageboard plugin click 'more info' read version: post here. :)
@David - please copy the php error into here. Line 21 isn't so useful because there is more than 1 file for the plugin.
Support your dev and he can support you quicker!
GMA
shouldnt be a problem with that link. do you have a live site i can take a look at it on.
@Mark Harding
No I don't have a live site. :)
I'll wait for the next update of this plug-in.
Waking up with a cup of tea, and ended up here at random (as you do).
@Dhrup; GMA might just be starting out with a basic test site and not have a live one yet..? Also, GMA's profile image doesn't look very *Sir* to me (though I'm not properly awake yet). :)
Here is more details on the error I am receiving. Some one posted on my message board, and when you click to see it you get this:
Is this an issue on my end?
@Dhrup
So if you don't have a live site does that mean you can't test the plug-in? What a `tard.
GMA and DAVE
It's not a problem with the plugin so waiting for the next release wont fix it. your username should appear at the end but for some reason it isn't. could you both send your error logs please?
Such a oity it doesn't work on 1.5 which is, as far as I know, still the most widely used version?
well if people funded the project then it will work on 1.5
@Dhrup
She's a nice guitar player.
Your avatar is FK with children holding hands but you are a guy/boy/male.
What are you trying to achieve?
@Mark Harding
Yes my username doesn't appear. I will try to check error logs.
Here is a link to my error log mark: http://thatsepic.info/error_logs
@David
I had a quick look at yr error log ;-( you've got some severe problems. I suggest that you re-load all the Elgg core code, disable *ALL PlugIns and then try just Notify - it will most likely then work oki ;-)
if I disable all plugins then there is nothing to show in the notifications.
So disable everything except a core plugin (e.g. profile) and see what happens.
@David... I did say "enable just Notify..." ;-) as Trajan reminds yew..
I'm pretty sure I said "then there is nothing to show in the notifications. " If I was convinced I was to disable notify, I would have said then the notify would not show up. Thanks anyways.
