Version 1.2 - Rewrote to maintain the friendship on every login rather than registration. Also, non-admins cannot remove the designated user from friends. The username is set in a define() at the top of start.php

so we can add more than one user to be like "tom"?
I install this mod in my web version 1.7 and nothing happen how do I know what user have the be-tom feature?
Which versions is this compatible with???
works with 1.61
Anyone knows how to make it compatible with 1.7 ?
Nothing "happens" when you install, but everyone who logs in after that will be silently "friended" by the Tom user. Has anyone actually tested it on 1.7?
@Cim Multiple "Tom" users shouldn't be tough to add. Maybe next version.
Hi Steve :)
Got a doubt...
Will it affect if the Username is changed at a later stage ?

ohh dhrup :)
I dint see ur post :P
As long as the Tom user has the same guid, changing his/her username shouldn't cause problems, but you must change the setting in start.php at the same time you change the username in the database!
The next one will probably tie to guid, like the original plugin did.
Thnx steve 4 the great pluggin and immediate response :D

redonkuless, inside of the be_tom_v1.2 directory you will find a be_tom directory. You need to move that to the /mod directory and delete the be_tom_v1.2 directory once you're done.
Nothing happens when i log in as a user i think i did it right. i'm using 1.7
Hi Steve
According to a helpful ELGGer - your plug in should allow for multiple friends. Has anyone (including yourself) tried what he's suggesting here? And did it work?
DhrupDeScoop
jweez ;-) just dupe the add friend line of code and add any other guid# you like lolz..
...
// Add both directions. Necessary? Used in Post User Login Update Plugin
try {
$user->addFriend($tomGuid);
} catch (Exception $e) {}
etc..
If you are using 1.7.x, try Post User Login Update Plugin
Wow that is a neat little plugin :-) works cool in 1.7.4
this doesn't seem to work in 1.7.6
Awesome! It works fine in "Release - 1.7.7, Version - 2010071002."
At first I got lost with the instructions, but all you have to do is change the "onlinesupport" to your "username" of the ADMIN.
Thanks for the plugin. Now, I have to add my web assistance as the "other Tom"
