will this plugin work on elgg 1.7.8 version??
It may, but i didn't test and don't know at all. If it doesn't, adapting the plugin to 1.7.x versions should be an 30 minutes work at most - it's mainly a packaging for an external library.
It shouldn't be harmful anyway to test it on 1.7.8 : if anything goes wrong, just delete the plugin and everything should get back (better do it on a test instance anyway).
