Database Validator v1.3.1

Release Notes

Added a script to clean up too many plugin_entries - a very common cause of out of memory errors for versions of Elgg < 1.8. To run this script, you must hit the URL: http//yoursite.com/mod/dbvalidate/repair.php

Please note that the script disables all plugins. You can reenable them after the script runs.

  • This is happening on the newest version of elgg.

I'm on a shared server with godaddy. Idk if that might be the problem.

Is there for fix for 1.8.13?

  • @college use version 1.4 for Elgg 1.8

  • On my site (Elgg 1.7) the plugin stopped to finish the validation runs. I suspect the problem is in the check performed in dbvalidate_get_bad_entities() as I still get the output of dbvalidate_get_bad_users(). First the runs with version 1.3.1 stopped to finish. I downgraded to 1.2 as this version was running much faster (for some reason flushing the cache results in slowing down the check quite a lot). Version 1.2 worked for a bit longer but now it won't finish the validation runs either.

I don't think it's a question of max execution time as the run seems to stop even before this limit is reached. Can you think of a reason why the validator plugin stopped working?
