It uses Elgg file storage, instead of something outside the standard Elgg framework.

It has several tweaks (that I needed):

• Uses Elgg file storage, instead of something outside the standard Elgg framework.
• Administrator limited number of market posts.
• Post text limited to 250 characters and text only
• When creating/editing market posts users must tick "I have read and accepted the Terms of use of use." before it can be saved!
• Updated views and forms - to suit what I needed

As you can read, the changes are things I needed (or wanted).

This plugin is badass!!!, its a different beast alltogether in my opinion

This plugin is not built as a webshop or an online auction, more like a flea market where users can sell/buy items from each other. How users arrange payment is up to them.

I'm planning on testing the plugin tonight.

But what I really need is the following.  I want to give my subscribers the ability to sell their own products.  I want to give eCommerce capability to businesses that subscribe to my network.  is there anything out there for this purpose? Can this plugin be used for this?

This one could do some of the trick, but it's not an eShop solution with basket/checkout/payment.

I haven't seen any real shop solutions for Elgg, so this would have to be developed from ground up.
