I am getting a message that says "to many redirects" on my iphone. I have not seen anyone else with this problem. I have run the upgrade.php.
I am not able to use this in 1.7.3. It says too many redirects. I've installed and uninstalled several times, running upgrade.php after each time. Also changed the order in plugins alas, no dice. It may be an issue with conflicts with another plugin, but I haven't been able to identify which. Any assistance you can offer would be greatly appreciated. I have used this plugin before on a previous version 1.7.1 on a different installation and it worked beautifully. I miss it :)
We have installed this plugin and we're also getting the "too many redirects" problem, both from iPhone and BlackBerry.
Release - 1.7.3, Version - 2010071002
Great plugin!!!
Is posible to add a chat in the plugim?
thanks.
after copying mod/mobile/views/mobile to view/ , works fine in 1.7.4
in case 1.7.3,
1. commentout forward statement and add last_forward_from in mobile/views/default/mobile/metatags.php
if (!$desktop == 1){
if (isloggedin()) {
//header("Location: ?view=mobile");
}else {
$siteroot = $vars['url'];
//header("Location: ".$siteroot."mod/mobile/index.php?view=mobile");
}
$_SESSION['last_forward_from']="pg/dashboard/?view=mobile";
2. copy mod/mobile/views/mobile to view/
3. access directly http://foo.bar/?view=mobile not http://foo.bar/
I couldn't use it on 1.7.3 because of too many redirects
Any update on this part?
not working in elgg 1.7.4 14 october
helpp me
@Takeshi Fujisawa i can understand that
2. copy mod/mobile/views/mobile to view/
Does this work on any phone or only certain phones??
installed the plugin.. loaded fine on my phone (blackberry and iphone).. however, when i tried to login, it didn't go thru... it loops like it's looping or stuck... it returns an error "too many attempts" sort of like "connection time out". how do i fix this? any comment is greatly appreciated. thanks.
I have 1.7.4 and the login page dosent work and i was wondering if i could get this on a sub domain eg m.letitout.co.cc
This plugin does not seem to work that much anymore not like it once did it fails on both phones I have also failed on a Black Berry and Iphone.
on my HTC aria I get the error ... Data connectivity problem. The page contains too many server redirects.
android 2.1
@Takeshi Fujisawa where is folder view is located
@Arsalan (and others)
From your DocumentRoot copy the Folder "mod/mobile/views/mobile" including all Files to "views/" i.e. on Linux: cp -rp mod/mobile/views/mobile views/
This will work (at least) as a workaround - it did help on a site I upgraded from 1.7.1 to 1.7.4 yesterday. I hope Mark can fix this and maybe release a new version soon.
I think this PLUGIN has met it's end and no longer works with any current version of ELGG... R.I.P. Mobile Plugin... now can't wait until someone else creates a WORKING version of this plugin!

help anyone.
Hello Mark,
I want to start off by saying great plug-in and thanks for your hard work. I have read all over and I think I’m the only one with this problem. I have Release - 1.7.6 and I’ve installed your plug-in (mobile 1.6) in the "mod" directory and ran the "upgrade.php", all is running great except when a user selects a message in their inbox they only see the subject line and a reply box under that. No message. Any suggestions? Also user registration doesn’t seam to be working. thanks again.
hello good morning, excuse me for my English, I'm using this plugin but also normalnetwork use the plugin to access the system through email and carnation questions is how do I get myself through the phone? by email and password or user name andpassword, I would like to use both email and password thanks.
Tentative tests on 1.7.7 are positive!
This seems like it's a plugin that is badly needed to be part of the core functionality of the Elgg system... everyone is pretty much mobile these days... what can we do to get this back on track?
On another note, after install on 1.7.6 and upgrade. using iPad OS4.3 the url is loading funny - for example I have my Elgg site running in a sub folder not the root.
So i get this double // in then url after my sub folder...
www.mysite.com/elgg//mod/mobile etc etc.
I've had a look ath the code can't seem to find the problem, anyone else had this and found a fix?
Cheers,
Chalkiex
