Installation
Extract into the mod folder. Enable in plugin tools and then run upgrade.php.
Does this work with your phone?
Please test this plugin on as many phones as possible and report if there where any bugs in it.
So far I have tested it on Android, iPhone, Blackberry and Nokia

Please make sure that you have create mobile views for your plugin - if not, they will not work with elgg mobile.

The next release of this plug-in will involve the restructuring of the code to make it even faster. Sorry Cim, forgot to add it at the top. Basically everything I said in the email and I have fixed all the remaining bugs and added the file views.
alright cool, i'm your #1 tester cuz i really need this feature for my site haha. i'll see check to see if there are any bugs left.
I used 1.4 version, all ok with ipod & iphone, but not with my Sony phone. Im istalling now the 1.5 and try it with the sony!

Hello Mark, thanks so much for this incredible plugin. Made my life simplier.
Found a "bug" causing a 500 internal server error. Message system isn't activated in my conf. So in mobile/page_elements/elgg_topbar.php, the check for message is causing system to crash. You should add a verification like "if(is_plugin_enabled('message'))".
Will report if i find other pb.

everything seems to be in working order now, well at least for me, a sidekick user. registration form works without captcha, i turned it off for now, replying to messages work, and that's all the bug for now. all your missing now are the view files for groups lol
@mark. I am unable to get the "invite friends" link to work on my iPhone. every time i click on the invite friends link on the page it brings me back to the same page. Can you help me!
This work until you try to submit any form. For example the wire wont post. It will send you back to the longin page when you try to update your status. Im using a Blackberry Tour

Ok I tried with my htc ( tytnII ) and unfortunatly it's a bit a messy with the graphic. I will try with another smartphone! Anyway really great and useful plugin!
ok I tried with an iphone. It seems it doesnt work when I try to insert my "the write message". Do u have the same problem?
Sorry, don't consider my last message... with the iphone works. I just forgot to activate the "thewire messages"
perfect... using HTC tytnII ( windows mobile ) and Opera... it works perfectly...
Great great plugin! it rocks!
Mine is still not working on balackberry phones. When I try to enter a message in teh Wire it will go back to the login screen
anyone having this same problem?

There should be no issues with the wire if you are using the latest version of the wire plugin and elgg 1.7.

I will include a fix in the next version to disable the messages plugin.
@Mark - Is there a possibility for mobile users to switch to the default view?
Some of my mobile users complain because sometimes they want all the bells and whistles :-)
