Myspace like music album for your elgg site.
This is the GPL Version of the Audio Pluggin from Webgalli. The gpl Version is limited in functinalities. it will allow you to add embed code from other audiohosting websites(Currently supporting yourvideohosting.com only). It wont have the play list option, add mp3 from user desktop options etc... You need to turnoff htmlawed pluggin.
GET THE PRO VERSION - FEATURES
- User can create a Music album (playlist) with a cover art
- Add MP3 files to album,
- Play it via a beautiful flash mp3 player which has got next and previous options,resume playback etc
- They will get an embed code too, using which they can embed there music albums in their webpages
- They can play their latest albums in profiles as widgets and give a background music option to profiles
- The player will automatically detect your server's maximum upload limit and warn users about that, if the file size exceeds.
- The MP3s are played with playlist option.
- No need of Zaudio or files pluggin for this pluggin to work.
- Share the albums directly in twitter, in.com, and facebook

...And does anyone know how versioning is going to be handled now, with the new plugins set-up? It was somewhat logical before and would at least tell you if you were on an out-dated version.

It would be nice if the plugin module automatically tagged the archive file with the version # or something. Or, if the version # was more notable and a strict format, somewhere on the plugin's page, that would be more helpful. I like to keep all of the plugins organized by version # in my files.
Pro version is a great plugin. Highly recommended.
How can he take a free and open source plugin (the TidyPics plugin), modify it and then require people to pay to receive his plugin that was made from the GPL, free plugin? Isn't this against GNU GPL?
@ Yakiv, who said you its modified tidy pics? you got some sixth sense? never comment or complain on anyones work unless you dont know completely about it. i coded it from the scratch and i dont want to prove anything.
Regarding Gpl And commerce, i dont wanna do an autopsy on many old discussions. just search in the community itself and you will get a solution.
Well done Webgalli! If you code from scratch the Intellectual Property is yours and you can charge for the thing if you want... good for you! You have released a GPL version to the community, so fair doos.
There are many out there who can write code but don't give it back to the community in any form... and we are the poorer for it.
Yakiv, if you don't want to pay for his efforts, write one yourself and give it to the community.
I have checked the code and it is not based on Tidypics. If I had to guess, I would say that is was based on the bookmarks or blog plugin that comes with Elgg. (It is rare to begin a plugin from scratch. For example, Tidypics started out as a small modification of the file plugin.)

I've been trying to get a bug fix for the description being an un-required field in the form, however you can't post an album unless you put a description.
No one is getting back to me on the Webgalle site though, anyone know what I'm talking about and how to fix it?
Also looking for a way to upload formats other than .MP3, or maybe more itunes file friendly, suggestions, fixes?

As said at webgalli.com, we will fix this bug in the next version of this plugin and once its released you will get an alert from webgalli.com and you can downlaod it from there.

OK, I'm finally getting around to trying this. The plugin keeps telling me I need to fill in both the title and the body before posting. I AM FILLING IN BOTH THE TITLE AND BODY! I'm not sure why it won't post.
