NOTE:The dateformat of the datepicker has changed (v5.9.3). This could mean some compatibility issue's with plugins who rely on timestamp date profile fields.
Profile Manager 6.0 replaces the registration page. This could conflict with other plugins that replace the registration page. Please test before using in production.

@rufuz i don't know if the profile manager will support all future versions, but definitely 1.8 (and probably also 1.9). Maybe in a 2.0 version the Profile Manager functionality be available in core, so there would be no need for upgrading this plugin. About 1.8; i have not tested it, but i hear people are using the latest version without any trouble on Elgg v1.8.
Thank you Jeroen it sounds interesting and I'll probably do the jump. Btw I tested it in 1.8b2, it installs good but a number of small issues prevent it to work properly. I look forward to a new native release. Thanks!

We will soon be working on a new site based on 1.8, so we will probably update the Profile Manager for that project.

Very good this plugin. Congratulations friend! I just had a little problem because I use or used the plugin "celebration" (birthday), and this plugin automatically inserts the birthday field. The "Porfile manager" stop this celebration and field does not import. Still worth ...

It would be very nice if there also is a "birthday" or a multiple choice with multiple fields in a row. search for the old e.g. "from" "to".
Or is there already something like this?

@lǐ áng you can create custom fields. Under Administration section on the left hand side you will see an option to "replace profile fields". This will give you the option to create custom field and decide how that information will be filled in.

@Jereon How do I use language translations for new fields that I have added. Example: I have defined a field 'Gender' as a radio button with values (male, female).
I would like to use the language file and specifiy label, hint and the values (male, female) from the language file. In the language file I have specified
'profile:gender' => 'Gender'

It's not working in 1.8. In register page fields are not displayed. Are you going to fix a new version please? :)
the fields are greyed out, this versioin is working only up to 1.7. Hope to see updated version of this mod soon. good luck.

@ Dalsem and all. Plugin seems to interfere with "login" in 1.8. Otherwise it seems to work, maybe just a few bugs.
@jdalsem Do you have an estimated date when it could be adapted to version 1.8?
