Thank you very much for your efforts for tidypics.
I tried to directly upgrade tidypics from 2.3.6 to 3.3.4 (while upgrading Elgg directly from Elgg 2.x to Elgg 3.x) and no upgrade-run button (to run the script mentioned in release notes of tidypics 2.3.7 and later of 3.3.4) appeared on plugin settings.
Is there a way to know; it is because I jumped from 2.3.6 to 3.3.4 (without first installing the most recent Elgg 2.x version of tidypics: 2.3.7) or because indeed there was no need to run the script?
cheers.
Using version 2.3.7 on Elgg 2.3 might have been a good option as it has been released 4 years ago already.
But the upgrade script introduced with 2.3.7 is still included in Tidypics up to version 3.3.4 and only removed in the version of Tidypics for Elgg 4 or later. It should show the Upgrade button on Tidypics plugin settings page if the script hasn't run yet (the version string is only updated after it has been run and if the version string in the database is smaller - and only then - it shows the button).
The version string is saved in a row in the private_settings table (entity_guid of the Tidypics plugin, name is "version" and value after the upgrade script has run is 2020082201). If the value is smaller and the button isn't showing, something is wrong. If the value is 2020082201 the script should have run or I made some mistake in the check/seting the value login. You could change the value to some smaller number (e.g. 2020082101) manually to make the upgrade button to show up. It should be no risk to re-run the upgrade script if it has been run before. Nonetheless, backup your database before you try.
Thank you very much iionly for your reply! I really appreciate it!
cheers.
