Oki ;-) i found that github link.. and so far TidyPics seems to run quite oki-doki for my 1.8.3 Elgg ;-P no issues ! Angelito estar mucho feliz now ;-)

But I got a pretty ugly Fatal Error after uploading a photo.  Activity stream is broken too.

So I'm not sure I would recommend this for a live site without some extensive testing first.

Everything working great on my site but I forgot what I did to fix it since the comments I did been closed in:Tidypics Fix elgg 1.8

P/S: What I did was re-installed few times with old version. Kept the good ones, un-installed the script.

P/S/S: Pasted the good one's to the newly installed script 1.83

*Take your own risk as I had mine, lost 500 plus active users. A Single mistake made all the file goneforever.

Please someone tells me to tidypics a great need to elgg 1.8.3.

There does not appear to be any working version of this plugin for elgg 1.8

It is hard to understand why it would take so long for a fix/working version considering how long elgg 1.8 has been out.

We're in a holding pattern upgrading our sites till this plugin and izap video are ready for 1.8. They both are mandatory. I'm assuming that day will come eventually - hopefully sooner than later. We're really excited about the prospect of upgrading, just can't go there yet.

because i tryed to install 1.7.3 and i have many " deprecate error "

i tryed with other version ( i don't rememeber the name.. but was taked from a website ) and i reice an " invalid admin page "

@ mauro: Tidypics is not yet released for a stable version for 1.8 .. Tidypics Team has only released a preview version which will not work perfectly bcz the full work is not yet completed... using the preview version on a productive site is not adviced..

'Downgrading' Elgg from 1.8 to a lower 1.7 version -- will most likely break your site into the toilet - oro - cause mucho problems ;( -- due to any database structure changes whihc were introduced for 1.8. The only way to 'downgrade' with fewer or zero probkems is if one knows at he low database, table, field level what those DB changes are - and can then patch and fix any quirks.

@ALL Devs:

Is it not about high-time or so late - that very few Devs have thought of developing photo gallery alternatives to TidyPics ? The only known ones are IK's fledgeling 'HypeGallery' and the several flavors which I have been slowly.. working on - Media & SimpleMedia. So - C'mon guys ! Every other CMS platform has got a plethora of photo gallery plugins.. except 'Elgg' ;-P Felices Codificación !

The gitub version I got, following topdog's above link, works like a charm on my 1.8.3 local test site!

Only problem in my specific case is that none latin characters (greek lang) of description show all mangled in cool iris slide show description box - any suggestions to fix this?

Also is it possible to somehow use the lightbox effect for all images on the site since it's activated for TP?

When I click on photos in the top bar, I get this error; Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required '*/mod/tidypics/pages/photos/all.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in */connect/mod/Tidypics/start.php on line 134

When I click on Tidypics settings in my admin panel, I get this error; Fatal error: require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required '*/connect/mod/tidypics/version.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in */connect/mod/Tidypics/lib/tidypics.php on line 130

Is there a fix for these? The all.php and the version.php are both in the correct spot? Is there a way I can fix these errors? Thank you in advance.

Oh and I forgot to mention, I am using the 1.8.3 version of Elgg. :)

My site www.sociotime.com is on elgg 1.8.3, I am running a photo contest using Tidypic ....firstly I got some issues. But now it is running smoothly.

I'm running the version currently in the github link https://github.com/brettp/Tidypics/ ( commit 90b3ef93ab20ceb49d0e2f5b40a87dd6608d05f4 ) on elgg 1.8.3 with no probs.  Only minor bug I found so far was:

1. Create album and upload images
2. Sort the images: drag and drop to new ordering
3. Run slideshow

I've installed the last version of Tidypics in my elgg 1.8.3 but when I clic in "photos" inside a member's profile, the browser shows me an empty page.

I've contacted with my server and they told me that library DG is enabled.

Hi. I am using elgg 1.8.3 and tidy pics preview 1( https://github.com/brettp/Tidypics/). I am facing following problems:

1- Thumbnail image does not appear in the albums.

2- Some albums shows zero images in album cover, while actually there are pictures there. on clicking these images nothing appear.

Any suggestions shall highly be appreciated please.

My version is 7.8 and my photo album are not in order check this http://veitias.com/pg/photos/world there are some way to fix this? because look very bad thanks.

@Roy: I think the issue you see is caused by your theme. Normally 4 albums are displayed in one row. For some reasons the width of the main content area on your site is too small to display 4 albums, so the 4th is pushed to the next row and shown alone. The width of the content area is normally set in the CSS of the theme - by default Elgg sets the width high enough.

I'm using 1.8.3 and I see others here are too and it seems to be working on their installations. When I attempt to activate the plugin I get this:

@tbevel: what version of Tidypics are you using? Don't try it with Tidypics 1.7.3 or earlier. There's not yet a final release of Tidypics for Elgg 1.8 but you can try the latest development release from https://github.com/brettp/Tidypics/downloads.
