3 column riverdashboard v0.2.2
Release Notes
This is a riverdashboard with 3 columns and using features from the latest version of riverdashboard. Should be pretty stable, i have more features not included in here that are still a little buggy - tobe released soon.
Works in elgg version 1.6.1 but i think it should work in 1.5 as well but havent tested it. please let me know if it works for you in 1.5
features:
- added view for friends (Thanks to Clinton Van Axle)
- mini profile with user menu (links for izap_video plugin and Tidypics Photo Gallery Plugin)
- added views for Photo Cumulus and Tag Cumulus
- added a view for iZAP Recent profile visitors
- dashboard refreshes itself (used code from autodash but not fully working with internet explorer- you do not need autodash plugin.)
For any plugins that add their own river icons, open the css for those plugins and comment out or delete the lines for the river icons.
todo:
- complete change of auto refresh
- add facebook like commenting
- cleanup some css and language
- add more options from inside the river
- add bookmarks to side panel
- add admin options for widgets to display on dash

- added a view for vanilla forum - uncomment line 56
- fixed a security hole caused by dreamweaver
- fixed profile views - wasnt working before

- if you dont have the extra plugins you wont get a white screen anymore
- added a fluid center column - shouldnt have to mess with the css to get it to fit your theme
- cleaned up some css
if you do not want a certain widget to show on the dashboard comment out or remove the line in index.php

INSTALLATION
remove existing riverdashboard and install this one. Remember to backup your files first! This is a replacement to riverdashboard.
rename or delete theme/views/default/riverdashboard/css.php from any external theme your using
in .htaccess add this
RewriteRule ^([A-Za-z0-9\_\-]+)$ http://%{HTTP_HOST}/pg/profile/$1 [R]
b4 the last </IfModule> to make the url link work correctly
PLACE PLUGIN AT THE BOTTOM OF PLUGIN LIST! - it needs to override some other views so better off with it at the bottom
if you are missing the url.gif i put it here for you.
If there are any feature requests for this plugin please dont hesitate to ask!!

Fantastic bit of kit - just one thing and maybe me being a bit thick - but is there anyway this can be used to replace the 'Dashboard' in the top bar?

I'm not using the default template and little stuck on the install instructions. Would you mind expanding on the changes need to the template? newbie...sorry...any help would be appreciated.

1.remove or rename the original riverdashboard plugin
2.upload my riverdashboard plugin to mod directory
3.enable plugin in tool admin page
4. click settings and select yes (on the riverdashboard tab in tool admin)
5. move riverdashboard plugin to bottom of list in tool admin

no problem... As I was running thorugh a few folders I noticed another riverdashboard folder in my darkelgg theme,,, do I need to make adjustments there too?
/public_html/mod/darkelgg/views/default/riverdashboard/
@myoung.. you can delete the css file out of it. but if you have riverdashboard at the bottom of the list as i directed you shouldnt have a problem

Your plugin is great ! I am currently working on the 1.6.1 version. I have a question. How hard would it be to create just a mini profile plugin That preforms just like all the other widgets. just drag and drop to the dashboard. This Would still allow my guest to style the Dashboard as they wish.
@hottie95 hmmmm i hav a miniprofile widget plugin with me.....will upload it today
@hottie95.. there is a miniprofile plugin floating around here somewhere.. you can do that if you like, but you will lose the river for the activity stream and other functions that this plugin will have in the next releases...
As an idea, you know what would be cool, to somhowe create a couple of blank widgets for your 3 colomun plugin that people could just plugin some html and run ads, or even have an option to have more than one site announcement section, because you plug your ad code right into that, works like a charm. Just my 2 cents.

@chambo.. i like this idea, have thought about it b4.. where would you like the ad boxes positioned?
I think they have to be in main view, if you have ever dealt with ppc campaigns, where you get paid by impression, the ad company has demands reagrding visibility, now you have the top section in place, thats fine and easy to cutiomize, but an option for one each side, especially if you wish to run a skyscraper ad would be good.
