Hi Vazco!Thank you for your great plugin. I would like to buy the full version but I need to know wether the licence let me use your plugin for different sites.
Alessandra,
yes, you can use this plugin on multiple sites.
Great, thanks! Do you have a slide-out menu structure that 'stays' horizontally as well? I thought it would be easier for new users to Elgg interfance.
Daniel,
there's no horizontal menu yet. The two that are implemented are vazco_menu and vazco_topbar.
Absolutly Fabulous. Many thanks for sharing it :-)
for some reason i cant make it work on the new version of elgg which is 1.7. I was able to enable the plugin but after i open the Topbar page and change the settings like "show home button" then click SAVE will show a form missing error
transs, only the full version is compatible with Elgg 1.7 now. I will update the free version to work with 1.7 soon.
Where can I get the full version?
Nives, you can get it at Elggdev.
it work great thank you :)
Basically, in the topbar, I want to get rid of the default Dashboard, Tools, and Settings boxes and/or links, and define all boxes and links through vazco_topbar. Could you add an option in the settings section for "get rid of dashboard link," "get rid of tools link," and "get rid of settings link?" It would be very much appreciated.
As per your original suggestion, I opened up elgg_topbar.php and deleted the links refering to dashboard and tools (couldn't find settings, only usersettings; wasn't sure if that's what I wanted). Doing so had No Discernable Effect. Maybe I have to delete the references from the vazco_topbar files as well? Which files would have those references?
If you could help, I'd really appreciate it. This little issue is all that's keeping me from going live with my site right now... Thanks for all your time and consideration.
Thanks for a really great mod.
To be XHTML compliant
in vazco_topbar/views/default/vazco_topbar/loginbox.php
POST should be lower case post
and the <div> should be inside the form, not outside
Mainake, do you use the free version or the commercial version of those plugins? The commercial versions work correctly on my browser (FF and IE8), though the free versions of both plugins were not uploaded for some time already. Maybe this is the incompatibility with Elgg 1.7.1
I have the same problem with the free version on 1.7.1 as transs above ... IM rather upset as I had to re-install my whole test system as I screwed up the Admin account before I disabled it - will there a be free version for 1.7.1 ? We are testing for a startup so we cannot pay yet :(
Nigel, yes, there will be upgrade for the free version of this plugin.
I'm sorry you had to reinstall the site, though this plugin couldn't modify your admin account. The worst thing that can happen with this plugin on Elgg 1.7 is the error screen appearing when saving new links.
will this work on 1.7 ??
will this work on 1.7 ??
yes! works in 1.7
its works gr8. thanks
My problem is same as form is missing or token etc....
Free version it is..Any solutions?
Tobi, we will release a new free version soon. Since a few months we were constantly updating the paid version, we didn't release updates for the free version.
@transs - The "form is missing" error only occurs if you click the box to remove the ELGG logo from the topbar. It does not seem to have any effect on the other functionality of the plugin.
+1 for the update to the free version.. If it works I may buy the full version!
Otherwise I will hack the code myself. ;)
thanks
Um read the post said that it have a mixing token he said his going to update more the 100 days ago I download the recomended version (recent) is not working token mixing= NO UPDATED desactive plugin=website totally damage. if seems like a forced =buy the plugin.
MinyMe, if you install the plugin and experience trouble, you can simply delete the plugin and clear view cache. This will revert your site to the state before install in 100% cases.
Releasing a plugin on Elgg.org takes time, which lately we didn't have. We plan to focus on our GPL plugins once we take care of the current projects we're working on and of updates for the paid plugins which we plan. We could release the plugin with a simple fix for tokens, although I would rather release a plugin which adds something new to the functionality.
