BookMarks was primary made to bookmark an elgg page. As i didn't find how to create a bookmark pointing somewhere else in the world, as i didn't find the way to easily create a bookmark that have to belong to a group, and as i was frustrated not to be abble to set associated wide categories, i decided to modify slightly the bookmark plugin. Is it bad ?

This is much more a tweak than a pluggin, 99,99% of the original bookmark plugin is here, nothing is modified, just a few things added:

1. Menu: add a link to create an "empty" bookmark in the subemun columns. This way you will be abble to create "The community bookmark", and fill the url with http://community.elgg.org/ . A must have. Works with group menu and user menu.
2. Form: Add the wide categories input. You can now set the relevant categorie of your bookmark.
3. Presentation: Add the categories set, if any.

With this plugin, elgg can be more turned to a social bookmarking system.

To use:

1. Deactivate the original bookmark plugin.(security measure)
   
2. Rename the bookmark folder to something like "bookmark_original"(security measure)
3. Copy the new bookmark folder into your mod folder.
4. Activate the bookmark plugin
