i tryed to add

'messages:to:friend' => 'To a contact'

'messages:to:group' => 'To a group'

'messages:to:collection' => 'To a collection of contacts'

to the en.php file. but with no difrents on the send a message form. that is stil in french.
what iam a doing wrong? :)

you're not doing anything wrong ^^ it's just my falt : the plugin contains translation into french in some files. I'll fix it later but now, all you have to do is :

en.php

• 'messages:to:friend' => 'To a contact'
• 'messages:to:group' => 'To a group'
• 'messages:to:collection' => 'To a collection of contacts'

/views/default/messages/forms/message.php

• <p><label><?php echo elgg_echo('messages:to:friend') ?>: </label>
• <p><label><?php echo elgg_echo('messages:to:group') ?>: </label>
• <p><label><?php echo elgg_echo('messages:to:collection') ?>: </label>

instead of "...

• <?php echo elgg_echo('messages:to') l\'utilisateur:?>
• <?php echo elgg_echo('messages:to') au groupe:?>
• <?php echo elgg_echo('messages:to') regroupement de contact:?>

you could try...

This plugin works fine in Elgg 1.5. But there is the following error in Elgg 1.7.1 when trying to post a message

"

Form is missing_token or _ts fields

"

Any suggestions?

@pa & @ledjboby: this plugin really seems abandoned and not to work for Elgg 1.7. You might want to try the "Messages with privacy option + more" plugin instead.
