This plugin has been written from scratch and this time we tried to make it as close as possible to elgg coding practices. it becomes fully featured videos plug-in for elgg. Current version has ability to manage YouTube videos upload, on server upload, Off server (Youtube). We are writing our API from scratch so Vimeo, Veoh, Blip, CollegeHumor, 5min etc will be available soon. It’s now compatible to Elgg new version 1.9.

1.  It supports YouTube upload if user don’t have fanatical resources to host/process upload videos.
2. It supports Youtube, Vimeo, Veoh, Metacafe, Blip, CollegeHumor, 5min etc formats.
3. It also supports Off server videos. Where user can convert video files to flv at his/her own server. It needs ffmpeg compiled on your server. Supported formats are subject of what your ffmpeg compilation supports.
4. Embeddable video code to post videos on other sites which are uploaded on elgg's platform.

12.  Video previewer has been added. When you pull youtube before. it will allow you to see a preview where you can make changes in title and description of the video being added.
