I'm very excited about this plugin, but a couple of things would make it even better...

First of all, I'm not able to drag the widgets into the left/right columns, even though this bug was supposedly fixed (elgg 1.6.1).

Also, I'd really love widgets for the group content that is currently missing from widgets: blogs and bookmarks.

Very important addition though -- keep up the good work!

I keep getting the error message "Error while saving background image" when I save layout changes.  I'm not specifying any background image.

Also, the event calendar widget does not display but does appear in the layout.  I'm running Elgg 1.7 with a few customizations.

The following error messages are appearing the the error_log:

NOTICE: 2010-03-31 16:16:23 (MDT): "Undefined variable: page_owner" in file /mod/group_custom_layout/start.php (line 44)

The version of the plug-in is 1.1.

@Arne Grimstrup: the background error I know about, it's not an error but I display an error message anyway.

What version of event calendar are you using? Probably the way it should be displayed has change between versions

I'll look into the page_owner error, but I haven't tested this plugin on Elgg 1.7

Hello Jerome,  I have 'reset' the layout (this makes it blank), then drug over two widgets, and saved them.  when I 'revisit' the Edit Layout, I see two 'goobers' (I've labeled them one and two) - when I save then, and revisit, I have two more!.. 

What could possibly be the problem?   I'm running 1.7 and 1.1 of the plugin.

@Jerome Bakker:  I've found the problem.  On line 4 of group_custom_layout/views/default/group_widgets/event_calendar/view.php, the input to is_plugin_enabled is "event_calender" when it should be "event_calendar".

Is this stable in 1.7?

I installed this on 1.7 but the right and left boxes don apear on place...the right one is up and the left one is showing at the botton on the goup!

also teh defoult background doesnt show at all!

on 1.7 the drag&drop dont works ver well, the widgets layout dont save sometimes and the calendar dont work. by the way, thats an awesome plugin with a lot of things for the users, a new fixed release for 1.7 would be really good :)

For me it's working properly with 1.7.1, using the Chrome browser.

1. My site http://www.pletform.eu/social/pg/groups/3257/speciaal-onderwijs-en-ict/ doesn't show latest files. There is actually one!
2. I would like to have the option to display group favorites 
3. As stated before, there is a typo in view.php

I hav 1.7 and this is not working properly, I am unable to drag and drop widgets on left and right panel. Also I wanna add few more plugins which are group respective such as blog, tasks, polls,etc

what should i change to get them incorporated in the layout???

this is a gr8 plugin and i'm looking forward to get this fixed and make the plugin roll again without bugs

Hi Jerome... any thoughts as to why this should stop working please,  It is a great plugin, I waited so long for it to be fixed for 1.6.x, and not it has flunked :(  any help would be appreciated.

If you change the plugin settings not to "Allow custimisation of colour" it breaks... simple!

some issues i notice with 1.7.1

Group files are there but widget is empty

No bookmark widget

I think group pages are empty as well

this is very needed plugin, so if you can make it work, please please do!
