@Fusion
I fixed the problem. I needed to enable the facebook plugin again and everything worked. :)
@Clinton.. cool im glad you figured it out cause i was getting stumped. did you grab the new code? i added the black facebook tooltips for when you go over the little icons
In IE6 *uuhargs* the Chatbar stays over the elgg Toolbar :>
In Firefox 3.5 this plugin works perfectly, only the minimizing Button to the left of the Chatbar i´m missing!
Here a Screenshots for example...
Thx :)
@antifmradio
this works on 1.5, the facebook plugin is something elsenot related to this plugin.
@cube
i dont have ie6 i have ie8 and it works perfect on there. and it works perfect for me on ff 3.5 you may possibly be conflicting with another plugin. Have you tried the original elggchat plugin? what are the results with that?
this is basically just some style changes from that.
@cube
try editing this line in the css in views folder
.toggle_elggchat_toolbar {
i cant reproduce the issue myself
here this may be what he was talking about
http://community.elgg.org/pg/plugins/dave/read/90641/facebook-connect
lets users login using their facebook account
make whatever adjustments you want... if it helps you it will help someone else as well. whats the site you have it on so i can take a look.
@Fusion
It works fine with the new code.
Im will try to add sound to it and a banner txt on the toolbar :-)
@Mark
I told ya before. U cant put copyright on a script u didn't make. U designed the script like what Fusion did.
But u dind't wright the script.
nice one fusion. the only thing i noticed abt last version was that when i left it overnight the chat bar appeared on top of elgg toolbar. so disabled and enabled it and was ok again. lets see this version. btw so far i have tested with chrome,firefox and IE 8 works fine
@Mark u should pay Jeroen Dalsem in this case then lol
@sam1
I have the same problem.
any ideas on this Fusion or Jeroen ?
@mark
i didnt steal any code off your site, tipsy is jquery plugin for the tooltips, have you even checked code and css? im sure it is not same as yours. Please stop crying about copyright infringement because it is not. Yeah it is similar to yours, but it is different none the less.
@ sam
i have not experienced this problem with the chatbar moving to the top.
@clinton
let me know how you make out with the sound and banner txt.
@Fusion. well i noticed it today when i logged but will let u knw if i get it agian
This whole chat bar moving thing is something to do with simple cache enabled, which the original pluggin still suffers from that I can see.
strange... wonder how that was missed anyways good catch. here is the one i have.
yup this pic was missing. anyways today i got the same problem again the chat bar moves to top i didnt had the problem with original version from Jeroen.
@sam1
Add the facebook connect plugin. Make it work.
Then put the elgg chat @ the butotm of ya list.
Do the settings(save it) and then do upgrade of ur elgg.
@sam1
it should be the same behavior as Jeroen's plugin, it is mostly just style changes to the bar. I think the same thing is reported on his plugin as well. it has to do with how some of the files are cached. Should be fixed in the next version.
@Clinton have done what u said, i had facebook installed anyway.
@Fusion. yea i knw u have done mod to style only bt i didnt used to get this with original Jeroen's plugin.
anyway will wait till tomorrow and will report
it will be fixed in the next release
It has something to do with the cronjob?
it has to do with the way some of the javascript is cached
@Fusion
When i add the elggchat not @ the buttom of my page. I have no problem. :-)
