Melvin, this is because the GPL version was not upgraded to Elgg 1.7. Only the full version was.

Hi Michal, Thank you for all your work here, you have made very good plugins! I`m wondering if you`re planning to upgrade this plugin to can work with elgg 1.7.1.?  Maybe as a demo let this plugin work without the karma points. Thanks : )

Jpardee, we updated commercial version from vazco.eu to Elgg 1.8. We don't plan to update GPL version in near future.

Mike if i bought and downloaded the commercial version for 1.8, will it work without karma? i dont need the karma side of things i just want my users to be able to send free gifts(costs no user points) to each other, and another question, i am using the facebook theme for elgg 1.8, if the plugin conflicts with this theme and doesnt work, can i get my money back (not expecting this,thought id ask though) i really need a gifts plugin for my facebook theme, NEED TO POKE!

Jpardee, yes, it should work without karma - you would have to set 0 price for each gift. In case it doesn't work, we can patch the plugin for you.

I'm affraid we can't guarantee money back for plugin not working with a specific theme (other than core theme). It's likely there will be some small corrections required for particular themes. They should be easy to apply though and usually shouldn't take more than 10-30 minutes for someone who knows a little of Elgg. If required, we can make such adjustments for you, for a small bonus price.

I think we should discuss this on vazco.eu forum though, or via email.

I have 1.8.8 installed, and visited your link: http://vazco.eu/vazco_gifts to check and see if a download was available for my elgg and it says 'fatal error'. Something is wrong with your site, are you aware? I like the gifts idea and was going to try it out but the site is down.

i tried logging into the paypal developers with the dummy buyer/seller credentials you give for your staging store but the logins didnt work.
