Ironically enough, I still get a token mismatch error when anyone tries to post comments on someone else's board. But, even with the error, it works.

Any fixes for this ...?

Actually CASH, take a look at it. If it worked, It would be a really good plugin as it added a reply within the widget itself!! But I found yours to be more stable.

Should this version work with 1.7.1? Links don't show up.

This version works with 1.5.x through 1.7.x

Wonder where the links went then (Wall to Wall & Wall to Wall with ...). Work's fine in 1.7 but not in 1.7.1

Are you aware of incompatibilities with other plugins?

Make sure it is below the messageboard plugin. Besides that, the only issue would be a plugin that overrides some messageboard views. The Elgg developer tools plugin has an inspect capability for looking into that.

Just disabled most plugins, still not working. And it's below the messageboard. Don't know what I messed up :-)

For security reasons i suggest, to do that changes:

\mod\walltowall\wall.php

//  $postee = get_input('postee'); // postee is the person the messageboard belongs to
  $postee = $_SESSION['guid']; // For security reasons

so it's because of: when manipulating the postee-ID in the browser's URL input field, everyone would able to read everyone's scrapbook entries.

And with fixed postee-IF of the current user, everyone can only read this entity: [himself]->[any person he has had contact with]

... or better: force one of poster or postee to be the current user (wall.php, line 33 add):
