Hi cash,
Thanks for this great plugin, i've updated the Elgg from 0.9 to 1.7.1 couple of months before.
the problem is ,Elgg 0.9 had a key function of aggregate external RSS feeds into users blog post(let a user subscribe to a feed, and have new posts to that feed auto populate postings into their Elgg blog) and this functionality missing in Elgg 1.7.1.
Could you have any idea on implementing this similar functionality because it's one of the key factor to my community.
Thanks
Can you set a default RSS feed?
@criptor9 There is a file called edit.php in the plugin that creates the form for the widget edit panel. A default RSS feed could be set in there.
Hi Cash.
Any workrounds to get this working on 1.8? Requires a page refresh after saving the settings of the widget/doesn't reload the feed data. Had a quick look at finding a fix but no joy.
I'm going to answer my own question. Easy fix - rename edit.php to content.php.
Yes - just checked. It's a bug in Elgg. Can't those core developers get anything right!
@Cash I know right... LOL
Which version you are using? 1.7.x or 1.8?
If you are using this plugin from Cash for 1.7, enable the mod and add this widget in the profile.
If you are using 1.8, I have a RSS Feed reader using Simple Pie API.
