This theme is the same as the simple neutral theme except with the page background and link colour changed to orange. You can easily colour up the simple neutral theme by including colour for just these two elements in the css.
The rounded boxes use the css3 border radius method - so will currently only be visible in webkit and mozilla-based browsers. (ie. Internet Explorer and Opera will have square corners).
Requirements: Elgg v1.1
Once installed to your /mod directory, go to Tool Administration, use the new up/down/top/bottom function to move the theme to the bottom of the plugin list (so that it loads last).
It contains skins for all the plugins in the elgg v1.1 full package.

Cool, Is there any chance for user to change background like myspace?
That had been cool!
@gpo, not currently, until someone writes a simple plugin to enable this.
would you really want that, seriously. isn't that why everyone uses facebook these days?
well.. myspace is out of control.. but simple changing the color or use a background picture would be great
Any ideas how to show up the curved corners in IE older versions? :)
@mantisinc, to get the transparency support in < IE7 you could either use the jquery ifixpng method, or tweak the theme graphics/css to use gifs in IE6.
Yah I was looking at that jquery. I did try and impliment it in the header/footer files, but didn't seem to make a difference.
Any ideas which files I'd need to put the script in?
Thanks in advance!
The twitter widget don't work anymore when I enabled this theme..
any ideas?
@mantisinc, to be honest I haven't tried the jquery transparency approach - I always opt for transparent gifs for IE6.
@Jordan Hatch, Hmm. The top icon link is incorrect, I will add a bug ticket to trac. Use the blue download button/link below the preview picture - that one works fine.
@gpo, The twitter widget should still work, it might not be skinned as this theme doesn't contain any specific rules for the twitter widget. (I just tried it here, works fine, but could do with some custom styling to fit in with the theme better).
Okay thanks Pete - so do I. But I can't find for the life of my where in the CSS it's calling for the PNG files, or even where the PNG files are stored in this theme.
Any pointers? :)
Thanks again.
@mantisinc, The rounded boxes use the css3 border radius method - so will currently only be visible in webkit and mozilla-based browsers. (ie. Internet Explorer and Opera will have square corners).
The rules are called -moz-border-radius- and -webkit-border-
Thanks Pete, you do great stuff with themes.
I use one of them.
But ... that orange hurts my eyes ;-)
Hello,
I'm loving this theme, but I cannot seem to find the user's area. I know i'm missing the very obvious.
Thanks!
Nice the but it is not working for me in 1.2
What should i do?
I paid U $ 100 for a perfect copy Template orkut for Elgg.

I *think* it's working for me in elgg 1.2, but it's still all blue like the default theme. Where do I go to change the color?
You'll know when it's installed correctly as it should be orange page background! Make sure you do a hard refresh (clear cache) to load new themes after switching - elgg heavily caches the interface and needs this kick to reload.
To change the colour have a look at the main theme css lines 80ish + for the body tag (background color) and a href styles etc.
Hello Pete,
Do you do custom theme development? I am looking for a theme for a social networking application on which I am working on.
Can you pelase let me know if you or anyone else are ready to build elgg themes?
Thanks,

@webcubes Curverider do some custom work on elgg www.elgg.com but aren't able to take on any more theming work at the moment.
Might be worth asking in the community if there is anyone out there available for theming projects.
Thanks for your nice themes.
I've tried to download both this and your basic "simple neutral" theme, but receive the "Sorry; this plugin, theme or language pack is not available at this time" some other people mentioned before. I can't find it anywhere on google either...grr
It'd be great to try out :)
@Jules, for now use the blue download link/button underneath the theme screenshots (it seems the top icon link is broken again. It was fixed previously.) Thanks for the heads up.
In addition, the download links on this page are all working and correct: http://elgg.org/themes.php

On the pages, the space is limited. I can't insert more than 14 rows of text. If I put some pictures, or more text, then, the entire text and pictures come over the coments container. What can be the problem?
