Any error log because I can't reproduce it. All works as expected.
Fatal Error.
Log at time 2024-09-24T14:13:14+00:00 may have more data.
I believe this error is not related to my plugin.
However, I just downloaded the current version and compared all the folders and files, there are no changes or differences from those that I use in my project.
Try deactivating the plugin and check if the error persists.
First of all, I should say that it was a plugin that I used with pleasure. So thank you. But, because of this issue, I disabled it. After disabling it, my elgg is running properly. When I able it, it is abled and looks to run without any error. But when I click on the links of "blogs" "bookmarks" and so on menu bar, it turns blue and displays the error.
I still can't reproduce it, no errors.
Can you list all the plugins activated on your site so I can investigate this case?
All of the standart plugins (elgg's own) are abled, except members, tag cloud, web services, theme sandbox.
The addional plugins such as translation editor, group tools, blog tools, pages tools, newsletter and the wirepro are abled but veıfication and event manager are disabled
When I disabled all the 3rd party plugins including yours, verification, my elgg run properly. Then I activated the third party plugins one by one. Only when the verification plugin is activated the issue occured. Even I disabled all third party plugins, then tried the verification plugin and saw that verification caused the issue again, on both edge and chrome navigators
Thanks for debugging.
Sorry but I haven't any idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can you show me a link to your Blogs page with deactivated Verification plugin?
You can send me your URL via PM.
Verification is deactivated at the moment.
The url for the blog is https://ahalim.com/blog
Just cloned your last 20 blogs with title and content - no errors.
Sorry, I can't figure out what's going on.
Are you sure you're using this version of the plugin?
None of our customers have reported such issues.
Nikolai,
Now I have just activated the verification again. I will keep it till tomorrow. You can check it till tomorrow on my website https://ahalim.com/
One more thing I realized that only the blog and wire causes this issue when I make the verification activated to make tests.
First, I disabled the wirepro plugin dependended on wire and I saw clicking the wire didn't cause any mistake and run prun properly. But when I activated thewirepro the issue was here again. So I see that the plugin, verification has a problem with thewirepro plugin. Without activating thewirepro, the wire runs with verification. So it is clear that verification is incompatible with the plugin thewirepro only, not with the wire itself.
Second, I disabled the blog tools which is depended on the blog plugin and cliked on the blog the issue was there, the screen turned to blue with fatal error warning. So I see that the plugin verification is incompatible with the blog no matter the blog tools plugin is activated or not.
I have had these results, Nikolai but I am not experienced enough on the elgg. So I need your helps.
To sup up, Verification (relase:6.0.0) caused blue page that I mentioned at the beginning when the blog is activated. But it works with the wire, if the wirepro, which supports the wire, is not activated on my elgg (version:6.0.4).
Now on my system, the blog, the wire and thewirepro are activated as the verification is. The Blogtools is deactivated.
I need help to use verification, because it is important for me.
Thanks again for debugging.
I'll try to reproduce with these plugins and let you know about solution soon.
Well, I've tested all combinations with these plugins.
I've activated and deactivated them one by one and all together, dragged them above and below my plugin.
The result is the same, everything works without errors.
Maybe you have other 3rd-party plugins activated?
Have you made any changes directly to plugins or Elgg files?
Custom translation (language) files?
Thanks, Nikolai,
Sorry to say, No other 3rd party plugins are installed except thewirepro, translationeditor, grouptools, blogtools, eventmanager, newsletter, pagestools and verification. And only verification is deactivated at the moment. My wwebsite is running properly at the moment. Whenever I activate verification and click on the blog and wire on the menu bar above on the home, the fault comes back again.
Try to disable Translation editor then activate Verification and check again.
I did what you said, Nikolai. The result is same, unforunately. Blue screen.
And what's in the error log?
When I deactivate the translation plugin and activate verification plugin, clicking on wire and blog links on the upper menu bar causes the same fault and displays the blue screen with the errors below
@Fazli
you mentioned in a previous posting that the problem shows on wire and blog pages. For the wire pages you have identified the thewirepro plugin causing the problem in combination with the verification plugin. That would be one combination @Nikolai might be able to check.
For the problem on blog pages: have you ever tried to disable ALL (and I REALLY mean ALL) 3rd party plugins and then activate ONLY the verification plugin as the only 3rd party plugin. Does the problem on blog pages shows up already then? If yes, it might not help to test any other combination of 3rd party plugins together with the verification plugin. BUT: if the verification plugin has no problem on blog pages with all other 3rd party plugins disabled, you can start activating them one by one and test each time if the problem starts to show up. In the case you have found the other problematic plugin.
Each other 3rd party plugin might work without problems if the verification plugin is not installed. I guess the problem occurs in connection with the verification badge. If both the verification plugin and some other plugin try to alter the title sections where this badge might show up it could clash if any plugin involved is either not fully up to date with the views involved to the Elgg 6 code or some plugin might not be coded in a way expecting some other plugin hooking into the same views to alter it.
@iionly Thanks for your clarification. Actually I have already checked TheWirePro and Blog tools plugins both in different combinations.
I was sure that Fazil changed something with Translation editor plugin. But he deactivated it and the error remained.
Maybe he need to clear the cache or something else.
@Fazil Please do as iionly suggests, then flush the caches and post a report.
:(
Thanks for debugging.
I think I'm close to solving this mystery ;)
What do you have in your php.ini on short_open_tag parameter?
You're wellcome, Nikolai.
short_open_tag is off, I mean, not checked.
What's more, I have made it checked and tested after making all 3rd party plugins deactivated, then I inactivated the cashes, and last I activated the verification plugin. The result is fatal error, again.
