Release Notes

Initial release

  • I actually solved it by validating the jquery.remodal,js in /lib

  • @Hanzolo there's big news about Internet Explorer. Microsoft is finally putting an end to it! Google it if you don't believe me. I'm sticking to what I said, I am not supporting IE.

  • @cim, Microsoft is only rebranding to shake of the bad image of Internet Explorer, but they will still keep a browser.

  • @Gerard I still wouldn't provide support for IE. Too much of a hassle.

  • @Cim, your call for sure. I am not using this plugin, not for any particular reason besides not being familiar with it. I just reacted on the breaking news, that triggered me to check what i missed:-)

  • @Gerard yeah no problem, I was longing for the day when IE is gonna go away. I heard they're gonna use WebKit I think for Project Spartan.

  • @Cim, I am very new to all of this and I am the one who called you yesterday. I have been working on this for days now and have no idea what I am doing wrong.

    I will tell you step by step what I have done and hope you can help. I used arvixe builder to build my site.

    1. When I downloaded landr and unpacked it I went into my c-panel and opened my file manager and tried to follow your instructions to put the folder in the mod folder in elgg

    2. It would not let me bring in a folder so I created every folder in order and uploaded every file in every folder so it looks exactly like it would if you opened it on the computer.

    3. landr is in my elgg plugin list and I have gone into it's settings and made it how I want it for the most part. I saved it. I activated it.

    4. I looked for the custom_index to disable it and could not find it. called you and found the "Front page demo" you told me about but it is already NOT active.

    5. I have turned off caches and flushed them. I have done everything I can think of to get this to work but my site still shows the standard blue banner.

    6. I have deactivated all pluggins and just activated landr to see if that would do it... nope. I have tried doing all of the above in many different orders to no avail.

    I do not know how to code and have built my website, an app and done everything else for my site by learning in the last month so please be patient with me if I am missing something really easy. I am really excited to have landr as my theme and think you have done an amazing job with it.

    Everything looks right, it is almost as though I am not seeing the "light switch" that will turn this puppy on. Thanks for your help with this.

  • @BigMoses777 If you are able to access the plugin's setting's page then the plugin is working. It should work right out of the box and I've tested it both locally and remotely in a shared environment. Can you post your website here so I can have a look at it?

  • @Cim Yep, it is http://axiscoaching.net/elgg/ - also, I made you a login which is: bogusemail@bogusmsn.com & password 123456

    Thanks for the help

  • Ah no wonder, you're using walled garden. You have to uncheck this private setting in advance settings in admin. Look at the image below:

  • Does it need to be that way for good or just until the theme loads?

  • Your site needs to be public in order to use it for now since I haven't tested it in a private site yet.

  • @Cim - Gotcha. Thanks, it looks great. I weill have to play around with it to see what I can and cannot do with it. My clients fall under FINRA and SEC regulations so I may need to lock it down more that this allows but we shall see. Thanks so much for helping me with it.

  • Np, if you really need to have walled garden enabled then I can modify the plugin to support it.

  • @Cim - Thanks, I will mess with it this week and get back to you when I know.

  • @Cim - Thanks, I will mess with it this week and get back to you when I know.

  • Is there a way to increase the number of users it displays? Also how do you change the 'mobile' 'code' images etc... Looks a great landing page, defo going to try it :)

  • Hi Vextah, you can change the icons in the admin settings page in this section. Click the Font Awesome link on the right side for a full list of icons.

    If you want to change the number of members on the front page then you can open views/default/page/layouts/landr.php and edit line 90:

    $newest_members = elgg_get_entities_from_metadata(array(
        'metadata_names' => 'icontime',
        'type' => 'user',
        'limit' =>  3, // <--- any number you want
        'full_view' => false,
        'pagination' => false,
    ));

    Just a warning, I don't know how it's gonna look with more than 3 members :p

  • Was only looking to change it to 5 members, and great stuff thanks, i'll have a tinker and check it out. It does look awesome tho :)

  • You mentioned in a previous comment to place '.elgg-page-navbar { display: none; }' inside css.php

    Where would be best to place that? i tried at the top but got a blank white page... I removed it and its normal, i dont like editing things too much incase of major break.

    P.s. More than 3 users to display can really mess up the page lol

  • It goes in landr/css.php and you can place it before or after body {} selector. Yeah it wasn't made to show more than 3 members lol.

  • Hmmm i tried placing it as you said but the menu still exists..... Al;so all my 'icons' such as 'Groups' Video' etc.. are all groups, yet in admin page they are i set...

  • @Vextah I've released a new version that fixes the icon issues

    https://community.elgg.org/plugins/1995172/releases/1.10.1

    If it still exist then have you tried flushing cache in the admin panel?

  • @cim @BigMoses777

    Your site needs to be public in order to use it for now since I haven't tested it in a private site yet.

    You can have a walled garden site and still use LANDR by implementing the walled garden with the login required plugin: https://community.elgg.org/plugins/804349

    At least for me this works!

  • @basti thanks for the tip, hopefully this will help people :)
