[Elgg 1.8-1.12 & 2.X & 3.X: iZAP Videos - revised edition by iionly] v1.8.1

Release Notes

  • Fixed a previous "fix" with handling of deletion of videos within the delete method of the IzapVideos class to correctly call the parent's class (ElggFile) delete method.
  • Made the lightbox popup in the river "nicer" by setting a max-width to not fill the whole width of the screen if not necessary.
  • Cool!

It doesn't need the "API Key" right?

  • @RJ (Arvixe) No API key required. But currently only Youtube, Dailymotion and Vimeo are supported as sources for Offserver videos. Though you would of course be able to add support for other sites within the plugin code itself. I might do this when I have some spare time.

  • Good evening!
@Ionly, I installed on my site, but have not found how to configure external website "Youtube" and another defect is not run the video, this image appears when you click on activities and only appears the option to edit or comment.
    Thank you.
Excuse the language, then use google translator

  • @Marcos_Faro There's nothing to configure for offserver videos. Maybe it's a bit of a misunderstanding here: offserver videos does NOT mean that you can upload videos to youtube. It means you can add a youtube (or dailymotion/vimeo) video to your site by copy+paste of the video url.

The image you included in your posting makes me believe you are referring to the "Embed-code" option. This image showing up for videos added by the "Embed code" option is normal. There are no preview images created for these videos. The reason the video does not show up is that the htmlawed plugin filters out the embed code. I've explained that in the plugin description. I would suggest to not use the "Embed-code" option on public sites though, because disabling the htmlawed plugin is very risky. It's the "Add url" option that should be used for external videos.
