Replace the default Elgg icons by the FontAwesome webfont.
See http://fontawesome.io/ for all the available icons
Why use a CSS webfont
The advantage is that because it is CSS you have more styling options.
Currently it's very hard to change the default colors of the Elgg icons. With a webfont this can be done in just a few lines of CSS.
Also you can make the icons larger/smaller to fit you needs
The added advantage of Font Awesome is they have over 450 different icons.
