Why would you want to limit the characters in the display name?

There is indeed no technical need for that anymore, after Evan found my confusion between name and username. Only some consistency and readable names. Since so many people have downloaded it already, I decided not to delete it.

I wil rethink the plugin usage and maybe find a more usefull idea. Any ideas are welcome.
