very nice this has great potential it could turn blogs into a facebook style page, i hope a few people can help you make this a bug free amazing plugin thanks Cim : )
Very Nice
Thanks
Brilliant! Love it Cim!
thank you guys, it's a really simple plugin lol. i am just flabbergasted that i didn't think of this sooner
is this essentially the same as blog tools.. using an external image instead of the internal image that blog tools allows?
@ura soul i've never used blog tools
awesome bro :D
nice plugin.
oh also forget blogs how about using this for pages then it will be exactly like facebook pages? really cant wait for this plugin to get a few people helping to make it a page plugin wow would be really nice and maybe a core plugin as a pages plugin with options like a facebook page is really really good : )
is it possible to 'upload' cover photo instead of 'paste' url.?
Thanks for the plugin, it is very nice..
But testing it, I fund it not useful for the communities where we use SSL, because the URLs pasted by the users could be unsecures, too, so as shriyash said, the 'upload' option instead 'paste url', will be the one.
Could be possible to see the cover image in the article view, too?
Goodluck!
this plugin has a lot of potential but as of right now, i don't have time.
@marius there are many ways to protect yourself from this, i will list a few that are obvious
just like elgg, this plugin was made as a starting point.
third option is to use CKeditor plugin http://community.elgg.org/plugins/1150512/1.3/ckeditor-with-image-upload
pull the code where it can upload a photo then impliment it to my plugin.
if possible could this be made into just a page plugin or pages and blogs, i think jubo can help with this also your fb like plugin cim could be intergrated with jubos plugin http://community.elgg.org/plugins/1560111/1.0/jb-overlay
though i think a plugin like this just for pages would be better
Installed on 1.8.14 with no errors but the option to an add url isn't there.
@nefea could you show me a screen shot?
I'm getting this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function _elgg_html_decode() in /home/milocker/public_html/documents/mod/blogcoverphoto/views/default/forms/blog/save.php on line 57
@rj when does this error happen? when you save?
When I click "Add new blog"
Version is 1.8.6
Seems like you need to upgrade your elgg to 1.8.17
I would love to use a similar plugin for this profile
@Jaqueline already in the works, see here: https://elgg.org/discussion/view/2497225/havent-been-actively-lately-but-heres-a-preview-of-my-new-plugin
Ok I will wait. shame that will be just for 2x
Yeah sorry!
