I think, this is very useful plugin!!! This is needed functionality for social network!

Any thoughts about compatibility with elgg 1.9?

Would it be possible to use this in a similar way as the "feature" tool of the widget manager, e.g. certain users (moderators etc.) can "share" content to be displayed on the main/index page?

Please update this for Elgg 1.9.5

I´m using the share plugin for Elgg 1.8 https://community.elgg.org/plugins/1526775                   and I have a little trouble, the plugin page says:  "The owner will be notified about" but i don't see any notification and I don't understand what kind of notification must be. E-mail notification? The system don't send any notification, not e-mail, not live notification, notification doesnt work :(

Please help me about that, I,m using the plugin in a production site and it's very important to me.

Another question: I,m thinking about a shares counter, it's possible?

the OWNER of the shared content will be notified via the "Site Notificatoins" - depending on the settings of the OWNER ("Receive notifications when actions are performed on your content") via Email and/or the site ("Messages").

I'm not sure if I update this plugin (for new features or for Elgg 1.9), because the approach of "The Wire Tools" (https://community.elgg.org/plugins/1608487) from ColdTrick is also very interesting. Since Version 3.1 any content could be also shared, but on the "The Wire", not in the activity stream, and with a Counter ;-)

Another interesting PlugIn for you is "Share Plus" (https://community.elgg.org/plugins/1530877) from SadraICT. He has extended the functionality of this PlugIn and updated it for Elgg 1.9.
