Allows a user-defined list of tags to be shown as linked menu items on the group sidebar.
Will either:
Clicking a tag from the menu will show a listing of posts from the group that match the selected tag, displayed within that group context (not as a search listing, so the user never has to leave the group to browse its contents).
Also provides a group tag cloud - clicking a tag from that cloud will again list posts from within the group itself, rather than in a search context.
Admin may choose whether or not this tag menu is shown by default for all groups.
Group owner/admin may enter specific tags to be shown, or choose how many top tags to display (1-50)
The menu should appear anywhere that the group sub-menu appears so it should always be available whenever someone is looking at a group-owned post or listing.
Example use-cases:
Inspired by Ben Werdemuller's 0.x Weblog Categories plugin about which he wrote "Allows users to specify weblog categories and display them in their sidebar. Categories are actually tags that they've chosen to highlight - so for example, if I choose 'foobar' as a category, clicking on 'foobar' in my sidebar will display all weblog posts tagged with 'foobar'." This plugin does a similar kind of thing but is not limited just to displaying blogs.
Produced for and with the support of Athabasca University, Canada's open university.
