Yeah, it's a combination of the theme and what I expect from Elgg. I'm used to a more CMS approach where you specify what widget/plugin appears where and on what page based on the user etc. Elgg seems different. Still trying to figure it out.
@TonySW: look in any users profile or dashboard. by clicking the add widget button any user can add the widget to their pages. then, by clicking the settings icon on the widget, they can input and save their own chosen location. the widget then will display the weather for that users' chosen location when anyone visits the users' profile page (if they included the widget there) or when they visit their own dashboard (if they included the widget there).
