Fantastic, I've been meaning to do something similar. Can't wait to give it a try.
i love this community :-)
thx pawel
thats cool...
Hi Pawel,
Thank you for contributing this plugin with us. I tried out the backup function.
After receiving an error about missing db_backup directory, I created one under the data directory. Then it was possible to see the Backup Database plugin page. When executed the backup functionality, I received the error message "There was error while making backup". A blank backup file created. What could be wrong?
Elgg 1.8.9 on Pardus (a linux dist). Plugin page mentions 'All dependencies are met'.
Best Regards.
@İşöğüçı: That's strange, the db_backup folder was meant to be created automatically. I'll check it again.
I'll update this version to output exact problem with command execution. In your situation it might be write permissions in db_backup folder, but it's a guess. It means non-zero exit code from command at this point.
@Paweł Sroka Thank you. I deleted the data directory to repeat the initial error, I received the error message:
DirectoryIterator::__construct(/srv/disk2/1185896/www/dnm_veri/db_backup/) [directoryiterator.--construct]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory
Along with a stack dump (which I shall try to send you as a message, in order not to clutter the place here).
Best Regards.
@İşöğüçı: That's enough for now, no need for stack trace.
I'll try to release newer version in few hours from now.
@Paweł Sroka Thanks. Recommended !
Great work!
