Release Notes

Initial Release

  • Very useful, thankyou Matt.

  • I like the Featured content, but this seems to not quite work with default access rights. I have to set the default access for each group from "Private", after which it works functionally, but even though it works it still comes up with "Private" when I go to Edit Group. In any case, I want Group Tools to manage the default access rights, but there's no way to limit the scope of this plugin to not include default access rights (even though it's set up to recognize the Group Tools plugin).

Otherwise good and useful plugin, recommended.

  • A lot of features I have been missing in Elgg. Thanks Matt.

There's a way to invite people to a group, but I'm also looking for a way to invite members to participate on a group page. It seems as much a thing where you want others to join as the group itself. And if the participants were listed in small letters with links to their profiles I think it would be a lot more prestigious and motivating to participate in developing these (wiki) pages.

  • one thought about this for an enhancement which i thought it already included, though doesn't in my testing:

when someone clicks 'add a topic' for group discussions and they are not a member (or attempts to add any group content to a group they are not a member of), an approach can be used that is more informative than the standard elgg error box and 'permissions' message.

maybe a 'yes/no' question box - asking if they wish to join that group.

  • Sounds interesting plugin but would be great is there are screenshots specially the layout I wanna see before I try. Please add screenshots.

    Thanks heaps

  • @kissss - this plugin doesn't really affect the layout.  It's all little tweaks to views and some back-end stuff.

  • Hi Matt can u show me how to stop the pages from breaking in two,the lower page says "sorry we could not find the page you requested" and also notifications keep poppin out like "Form is missing __token or __ts fields". Using elgg 1.8.16....Please help!

  • For your information: The plugin’s code repository is now apparently available under

Jon L: I have issued a pull request there that fixes the issue that you describe.
