I forgot to mention, when a user edit's their profile, their location is automatically filled via jQuery. It doesn't override any views so I hope no plugins will conflict with this and location in edit profile is totally editable by the user and/or admin.

anybody here having problems with the new release?

For some strange reasons, the previous version worked for me and I removed that to install this new version now I can see there is no location in the wire. I did run upgrade.php everything let me try more and check, will revert shortly here..

CIM bro, I added this plugin under the 3C plugin and now works fine, did not work before when it was under wire plugin :)

So all friends if you get problem like this please try to keep this plugin under your 3C plugin if you are using that.

ah i guess another plugin was fighting for view extensions, didnt' think that was possible but i'm glad it works for you :) i guess this plugin needs to be moved around on the plugin list.

YEs $('Cim') I agree with you. This plugin works fine to me now, if any user sees that this plugin does not work try to move around in the plugins list and would work as it works for  me :)

could you link me to your elgg site? also did you try moving the plugin's order in the plugin list?

have you tried flushing your cache, both browser and elgg site? ran upgrade.php? if yes and still not showing then maybe a plugin is conflicting it.

also this plugin doesn't work if your elgg site is on a CDN, you'd have to configure your server to resolve a visitor's IP

content distribution network, it caches your contents on the site and distributes it to their datacenters around the world so it'll boost performance on your elgg site. reduces server load too by letting them handle page requests from the cache rather than from your server

Michele Bro try to clear cache, then run upgrade.php then log out & then close your web broswer then come back to your web broswer and login . Try to post something in the wire & remember when u post in the wire. One MOST important thing, if you are using a plugin which is based on ajax, like posting something in the wire without refreshing the page then your location would not show up untill you refresh the page manually. But if you are not using ajax plugin and each time page refreshes when u post in the wire then location must shows there.

Try that and let us know here.

the problem was the metadata wasn't created when an existing user doesn't log out. simple fix is to let them know that they need to log out and log back in

Iv had no luck with this one either. I am using Cloudflare but i didnt think that it would cause a problem because Im still able to see my visitors i.p addresses in admin. Tried moving the plugin around, aswell, settings are showing in user tools for the plugin but no locations in river activity :(

@dhrup this plugin doesn't work on local host cuz it gets your local IP (127.0.0.1)
