galliCache for Elgg 1.8.X v1.0

Release Notes

Initial release - 24/12/2012

PS : First public release, please report the feedbacks.

  • I can not see any html_cache directory in my data directory.

  • @srf : the plugin should create the html_cache directory automatically. If it fails to create one, create one manually inside your datadirectory with permission 777

  • @Team Webgalli it seems like the html_cache directory is being populated but it doesn't seem to be served to non logged in users. i even checked the source to see if it was generated but it says dynamic instead of static. this works on localhost though. what other reasons are there for the static pages not being displayed? i disabled my theme, still wouldn't show.

  • @cim : unable to replicate that.

Is simple cache enabled in your installation? The plugin needs simple cache to be enabled. A cache file is loaded only

    • For guests (not logged in users)
    • If the cache tag in the file matches with that of site cache
    • If the cache file doesn't cross the age
    • if file size > 0

  • yeah simple cache is enabled
