This release fixes the issue where if your data folder isn't called "data", so it'll make a folder called instagram regardless what your data folder name is.

I'm not sure what is meant by "OAuth redirect_uri:".
I just put in my website URL but that gets an error when I try to generate the key.
Can you provide some more verbose explanation?
Thanks
that's just a fancy way of saying "where do you want your users to be redirected" after logging in using instagram's API. since this plugin doesn't require any of your users to login via OAuth, the redirect URI can be anything, this is needed to get your access token. follow the instructions on that jelled.com page to get your access token
Tried that.
http://elgg.smallbizdepot.com
Using the ID above gets me this error:
step 2 clearly says to set your URI to that link and not elgg.smallbizdepot.com, see the bold text with the asterisk? that's the link you're supposed to set as your redirect URI then paste your client ID again
i've uploaded an image so you can see what i am talking about
OK, I thought that was an example, not the actual URI.
oh no haha, sorry i should've made it clear. did you get it to work now?
@Michele paginations right? yeah i will tinker with it after i finish my new theme :)
yes my theme is priority for me at the moment but i'm also using geolocation with it:
see the 8 hours ago near Manteca, CA? manteca is a town 10 mins from where i live
thank you, i'll also release a new plugin showing a user's near "location" in wire posts or wherever after i'm done with the theme :)
Hello. Thank you. I see widget is for profile page. But I see no instagram widget in "Add Widget" list. Is because I enter no "access token"?
May I search display instagram pictures of all user by subject, location, keyword? Like twitter saerch we have.
tanks
@Den did you follow the instructions i gave you? you will need your access token for the plugin to work, see the second image for reference.
right now the plugin only shows a user's lastest instagram photos. i will add search by tag on next release or on a to do list
@twiendly1 it means you need to look at my plugin's second image so the redirect URI in your instagram developer page says
Ok thanks, I thought it was an example. does that mean if jellied.com is taken down the widget won't work? I'm confused why the redirect is a third party site?
jellied.com wrote a script to easily get your access token without writing one up yourself. and no this widget isn't dependent on them. i don't know why instagram doesn't generate your token without making some sort of action.
hi okay? I'm with a problem I did everything right, but is giving this error (/!\ error simpleDisplay.) is because the new version of elgg 1.8.16?
@Site Brazil it doesn't matter which elgg version you're using, it should work for 1.8. could you point me to your elgg site?
@[cim] Hi, i keep getting this error in the widget: /!\ error simpleDisplay.
Any suggestions?
@9Etha were you able to get your access token?
yes, with the help of this thread ofcourse.
@9Etha tell me what you did after that, step by step.
I took the access token from the url and pasted it into the plug-in, via plug-in settings. Went to my dashboard and added the widget. Then i added my intsagram user name in the widget. Upon saving i got the error.
Go to your data folder and see if a folder called instagram was made.
Upon searching there was no data directory in my installation or inside the widget folder.
