does this add images to users' files list? or tidypics?
or does it have it's own storage method that uses the elgg filestore?
thanks
Would be nice if it uploaded to lets say "upload" folder and add it to the tidypics albums or be able to load existing pic from your album collection!!
@ura @LT have you guys tested out 1.9? it has the CKeditor with the image upload. it is uploaded separately from files and tidypics plugin.
I can't even get 1.9 to work on my server i have in subfolder and i'm getting errors so no haven't used it yet!
did you download the latest build? i think they fixed that subdirectory error in github
you know i haven't checked it but i'll check it thanks for the heads up
Is elgg 1.9 released?? For production website ??
it's not out yet
Hi all,
anyone having a prob with IE? For me in IE the editor is greyed out and no editing can take place.
This link talks of adding
to the ckeditor config, but I'm not sure where to apply this for us.
Cheers
Drew
docType : '<!DOCTYPE html>'
well your problem is that you're still using internet explorer.
Hehe Cim, *Doh!!
I use firefox, but I have to test in everything. Damned IE users keeping over 30% of the market still. Damn them all.
Just on compatibility, this CKeditor 'looks' just fine in a samsung galaxy S2, just can't enter anything into the text area. Same prob as IE? dunno.
hmm, maybe it's a css overlay issue where an element's z-index is higher than the textarea
First of all, thank you for having "upload image" feature. The traditional TinyMCE way of relying on URL is fine as an option but having is as the only option is very cumbersome.
- When I tried the "Upload image" feature, after uploading the image, I press the OK button but I get "Image source URL is missing" error. And when I click the only working option of 'Cancel', then on the blog I get no image. What am I doing wrong?
- On the image side, when you have the functions as tabs ("image info", "upload"), then you introduce the problem or sequence. The user has to think of the sequence, as it is not dictated by the application. It causes confusion.I am assuming that there is a sequence between these to tabs but I can not be sure because I was not able to get upload working.
- The pop-up windows seem to dictate their own style (in terms of colour) as opposed to following the current theme.
thanks again for this plugin.
Best Regards.
Can you make this also allow you to upload pictures when posting on the wire in 1.8.16? I really need that kind of feature. Thanks!
how did you get all those icons in your CKeditor? all i got are basics
image upload does not work. Author of of this plugin is away I think. Any alternative?
image upload works for me but for some reason it's only viewable to the person who uploaded it. meaning the access_id to it is set to private.
"image upload works for me but for some reason it's only viewable to the person who uploaded it"
True.
Plus, how the site superadmin can control comment thumbnail sizes or disable comment images in the river? Fullsize images show up in the river.
Also, some admin option or raw coding option to disable buttons not wanted is needed.
Seems like a very nice pluing, but as others have said, no one else but the uploader can see the image.
We tested in FF, IE and Chrome.
Did anyone find a solution for this?
It solve the problem of SlideShare embed happening by TinyMCE using. Thanks a lot
I put on 1.9 elgg the mod folder and I enabled the administration, but the plugin does not appear
This plugin is for 1.8, not 1.9. It may not work with 1.9, even if it does you would probably have to deactivate the ckeditor that comes with 1.9.
read that version 1.9 comes with a ckeditor, but even activating this plugin it does not appear on the site.
It says it is version 1.3 of the plugin for Elgg version 1.8, I don't know where you are seeing this plugin is version 1.9 for Elgg version 1.9.
Let's assume it is, did you deactivate and delete the one that comes with Elgg 1.9 before uploading the new one? If the folder is there it should show up.
