This plugin just ads a simple check, it does not remove the registration link. If you want to remove the registration link then you will have to do that yourself.
This plugin requires registration to be enabled, but will block any registration attempts without a invitation code or a bad invitation code.
Also with this plugin it may be desirable to enable the Invite Friends core plugin so invites can be sent.

Will try it, this sounds promising
Thanks for this plugin!!!
I am trying it out right now. My dream feature would be that every new member that was invited automatically got a link on his profile to the profile that invited them (!). A way for the members to "sponsor" and take responsibility for the members they invite and such make them really only invite people they can truely vouch for.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do that?
It would be nice if you like orkut was formerly the administrator defines how each User can issue invitation, for example I have 10 invitations and invited them over so administrator can reward me with new calls
how to check this plugin in localhost
how to solve this error:
No Invitation.
Registration to this site is by inviation only.
If you recieved an invitation please check to see if the link is correct or contact the person who sent the invitation to you.
Kani:-
This plug is regitration by invitation:-- that mean nobody can register without the invitation..
only admin can register..
Getting error for plugin: "This plugin is invalid: The required file "start.php" is missing."
@Jason Page I think you have placed the plugin files in the wrong directory. i.e. if you have done it correctly under the /mod directory you should see a directory called "inviteregonly". And under inviteregonly, you should see the start.php and other plugin files.
This plugin allows registration only for those who have received an invitation. The invited person receives and email. Invitee clicks on the link provided and presented with the usual registration form. Upon filling the form, receives another email for email-verification. Uninvited people can fill in the registration form but will be presented with "invitation only" message when they submit the form.
Elgg 1.9 compatibility: Works normally.
elgg 1.10 can't work
Abondoned plugin?
