Got it! Thank you so much for your over and beyond help. I already recommended this theme (two thumbs up)! I will give a full fledge write up after all my plugins are active.
Will the additional sub folders with the ELEMENTS content, does that need uploading also ?
Cant seem to get theme to look right.
Yes its does....for each theme. Colour upload all the content.....to make upload. Easy upload the zip file to your root folder and unzip it there...it is easier like that because it saves time...and stress
@justshannon; I wuld be waiting...thanx
Sorry so what should the file structure look like ?
Elgg Requires the start.php in the first folder, sorry to be thick...
Do I unzip and upload AS IS to the MOD folder ?
Let me give u a detailed way.......1). Download. 2). upload zip file to elgg mod folder on your server (for easy and fast upload) 3). Unzip it there 4). choose the colour you want 5). Copy out the two folders inside the colour file you choose and paste inside mod folder 6. Go to admin--->plugins and activate the theme you want....does that help
When I try that I get an error as one of the folders (green bright-theme-1.0) has no start.php and is not recognised as a Plugin. The other folder appears correctly (green bright-theme) as a plugin.
What am I doing wrong ?
Sorry for answering late.....You are not doing anything wrong...that folder is not a plugin...is a back up script just leave it there in the mod folder and activate the bright theme that appears on your admin ---->pugins ....page. And your site theme would be changed. That's it simple and easy enjoy.
something wrong I put 2 folders green bright theme and green bright theme 1.0 in mod folder then clear the cache then theme appear but without green background - whats wrong?
Sorry everyone....it a mistake ....please if the folders name is orange bright theme..or green bright theme...or blue bright theme....remove the orange or blue or green and just name the two folders in your mod as bright-theme and bright-theme-1.0.....I.e. Elgg---->mod---->bright-theme, not, Elgg---->mod---->green bright-theme. @ Autovenda does dat solve your problem
thank you, now its work very good! Thanks for your work - awesome!
Best regards
is any way to did only 1 folder?
Would work on that
Tested in Chrome, Firefox, and flock (flock of sheep?!)
when you use slang confuses users of other languages
ok sorry
Thanks for theme
Can you show me how to structure exactly like demo please? Its show login panel on the left and content on the right etc...
The green theme looks great on my site. Just one little problem. On logging in there is nothing below the menu bar except an error message: "Sorry. We could not find the page that you requested."
In order to get the main index page showing Latest groups, Latest blog posts, etc to load, I have to click on the site title in the header or on a "Home" link I've added in the menu bar.
How can I get the above page to load by default on login ?
Nam Lee; if your custom index is deactivated activate it and it would automatically arranged it self jon666:if your dashboard is active, try to download phlor redirect plugin and redirect your www.yoursite.com to www.yoursite.com/activity or www.yoursite.com/dashboard.
this are new updates want to know more just ask....
friendzDiary: Everything is fine except login doesn't go to the main index page showing Latest groups, Latest blog posts, etc. Do you call that page the "dashboard"? If so yes, thast should be the first page to load from login.
I went to the phlor redirect plugin page and it says it's been discontinued. Now what can I do. I really love your green theme!
Jon
Please disregard previous entry. It's working now. Seems it only works with user Dashboard enabled. I only had Admin dashboard enabled.
I find the main frustration with all things Elgg is a lack of documentation, either in readme files or elsewhere. Looks like the only way to proceed is through trial and error and bugging people on the forums! No way they are slow and overloaded!
