What you can do to help:
Provides ebay like functionality to manage auctions and bids on your site. Set currency in admin settings and descide if only admins can start an auction or all users. After selecting an auction winner, you must corespond the winner to arrange payment/delivery.
NB: Go to http://www.elggstore.webintelligence.ie/ and download the Web Intelligence Framework. Will not work without our framework.
Demo: Go to www.demo.webintelligence.ie to test. Login with usernames & passwords of seller & seller or bidder & bidder
Features:
- Upload item description and picture for auction
- Any user may provide a bid
- Manage bids
- Manage auction expiry
- Notifications to users of a bid, edited bid, successful bid, rejected bid, cancelled auction
- river updates
- uses google map api to prompt users for locations as they type
Install:
Read the README txt file to install the plugin bundle. If auctions and categories from a previous version do not appear, run the SQL script in the readme file.
Note: If you are comfortable with crons and run the hourly cron, then comment out wi_check_entity_expiry(); on line 137 in auction/lib/auction.php and uncomment elgg_register_plugin_hook_handler('cron', 'hourly', 'auctions_status_cron');in auction/start.php. This will improve performance as expiry dates of auctions will only be checked when the hourly cron is run and not every time you load all auctions page.
Note: Turn on site notifications during local testing to see notification messages.
