Very nice plugin. But once spoiled by Lee's Theme Designer plugin, it is difficult to come back and use this. Theme Designer does more.

@Den you can use a Lee's Theme Designer plugin, it have a this feature

Very practical for setting site logo.  

Lee's Theme Designer also does this and much more, but  this one (Lee's Logo for Elgg 1.8.8) works better with walled gardens. i.e. with Lee's Theme Designer, you lose the background. You do not have that issue with the Lee's Logo for Elgg 1.8.8.
