Check my latest comment at the izap_videos 3.62b plugin page for what I modified to get the video files and the old snapshot file removed. The only problem is that the new second snapshot pic doesn't get removed. I'm not sure if it gets even used anywhere. Maybe it just gets created and then forgotten...
You need to feed it to FFMPEG. Why do you need to use izap for this? Try this plug in. Trying to help with my rather limited knowledge of Elgg.
No thats not what I want , this plugin does not convert the videos to flv so that it can be readable , only the IzAP_video does that and I would like to integrate it into the FILE , the reason behind it is that I want to use only only one upload form for all types of formats , elgg should detect its file type and then do the conversion and have the option to play it.
I just downloaded the latest version 3.61b and put it on the site. The server analysis is showing green on all of the items. I did have another question. I have had on server video uploads off because the video uploads would not seem to make it to the server. It looked to me like some sort of upload size problem. What is the largest size that I can set the max file size to and have it still function? I have it currently set to 20MB.
File size of videos is limited by upload size limits on the server (php.ini, htaccess). Much larger files than 20 MB are possible. I've tested up to 200 MB without problems. But it all depends on what is allowed on your server. You may start with a smaller file for testing nonetheless. If smaller files work without problems but larger uploads fail it surely is caused by upload limits defined in php.ini or htaccess.
@Peter:
Thanks for your suggestion. We will consider what you said. Wait for the next version which is lined up by the end of this month.
Big videos problem could be the only issue with "memory_limit". In this release, You may need to increase "memory_limit" in php.ini for back-ground processing. Unfortunately, .htaccess won't work in case of background processing.
Thanks
Hi!
I think I'm having the same issue as above. I will say straight away that I am only using version 2.5 of the plugin, but I believe this to be the same issue after doing some reading. I cannot upgrade to 3.5 as I cannot install the needed extra files. My larger videos, 6Mb, are converting, but staying in the tmp directory, not moving to the izap_videos directory in elggdata, and the queue staying running. If I click reset now and trigger with new video, the first one reconverts, and I'm stuck again. If I delete files, I don't get any of the videos converted. Has anyone come across a solution for this yet, or even ideas (I don't mind having a go at doing the work, but thought I'd check with people first!).
Appreciate the time and effort izap.
Thanks.
