Help someone?
did you try upgrade.php?
This is probably due to a plugin you installed, try to remember which were the last you enabled and disable them one by one.
I got this when I only had the default plugins that came with Elgg 1.5, but i tried disabling them. How do I try upgrade.php?
I disabled all of the plugins and it doesn't work and yeah so what do we do with upgrade.php?
You run upgrade.php by going to www.yoursite.com/upgrade.php
I ran the upgrade but it didnt change anything. I disabled the validationbyemail widget, it that means anything. and now when i go to localhost, the page is blank
I still cant sign in as a nonadmin. I even redownloaded elgg and replaced the files in my www directory. My guess is that even though i can disable validation by email widget, i still need to validate the account somehow for it to beable to sign in, but i could be wrong. I also noticed that the page acts the same if i give it a wrong password and username and when i give it the right username and password. The only time it gives me an error message is when either the username or password is left blank. Do u guys have any suggestions or solutions?
Don't disable the email validation plugin without replacing it with another plugin that does something similar.
Elgg will not work if there is no way to validate an email address.
