You must log in to post replies.override the access view
how to?
There is also a plugin hook for 'access:collections:write', 'user' you can use to strip out the private option - that works better than overriding a view.
I dont belong to this elite programming club. If I ever going to tweak it I have to begin from scratch. Pls can you simplify these steps?
Write a plugin - see the docs for what files you need
in your start.php
I'll try it
i have seen couple of threads that ask for the same option. Isnt it better if someone can build one for this?
It's time/effort with a limited number of available developers willing to work for free. If you want custom stuff done quickly then the best bet is to post in the professional services group and hire someone. Otherwise it's a case of learning yourself, or asking really nicely and waiting.
Though what I posted 2 posts up is 90% of the way there. You just need to create the manifest.
If I decide to stick with Elgg, I will certainly head towards professional service group one day. Lets see how things go
