i've removed the topbar and i'm trying to implement the tools section within the header where my menu is

i've copied

        <?php

            echo elgg_view("navigation/topbar_tools");

        ?>

from the elgg_topbar.php to header_contents.php

but how can i change the word tools to a small gif

i've tried editing topbar_tools.php but i couldn't figure it out

Or is there maybe a better solution to use the Tools menu without the topbar
