I like to know if there is a plugin or so which makes it possible to allow users to create a group which is only visable for other users when they have a common option set in their profile.
So when a user (using the Profile Manager) has a a custom flag eg. "Adult profile" only those users can see groups with an "Adult profile" flag.

You must log in to post replies.I have not heard of a plugin that can do that. Changing visibility of content based on profile data is not a use case that Elgg handles well. Perhaps an easier way to accomplish this in Elgg would be to have a Mature group, and then you could say that only members of that group are allowed to join certain other groups.
This would be done with relationships and plugin hooks, which you can read about on docs.elgg.org
