Idea for Likes/Dislikes
this Plugin allows likes, and dislikes to be set on blogs, posts and other content.
However, not everyone likes to se dislike..becase it shows their usernae.
My idea is a dropdown, or check box when Dislikes is clicked, that allows the meber to hide their username.
What do you think?

You must log in to post replies.What would the point of not showing a dislike. Why would the user do that?
It seems rather offensive to have a dislike button. On our site, we never used the dislike feature.
Dislikes only make if you try to institutionalize content rankings, in which case you wouldn't show it a dislike, rather vote down vs. vote up.
This plugin would do great, wish there was a 1.8 version, would change it from the "likes and dislike' thingy though..
is content rankings possible @Ismayil ?

Ranking/voting is done by giving a 1 to 5 stars vote by default but it's also possible to configure 1-2 at minimum and 1-10 stars at maximum. Some default entity types (blogs, group discussions etc.) are included to be voted on but the plugin allows to configure votings on any user-defined entity type (including 3rd party plugins).
@iionly thanks that is a start, I was looking more towards ordering of entities based on ratings similar to reddit,digg, hackerne.ws, but I know similar php frameworks like pligg have it, so I just have to port it into elgg form
